Invitation to the national celebration of the Norwegian Constitutional Bicentenary 17.05.2014

The Norwegian Parliament has the great pleasure of inviting representatives of the media to the national celebration of the Constitutional Bicentenary at Eidsvoll on 17th May. All members of the press are required to apply for accreditation by Wednesday 7th May.

The celebration at Eidsvoll 1814 will be attended by the Their Majesties The King and Queen of Norway, Their Royal Highnesses The Crown Prince and Crown Princess of Norway, Her Majesty The Queen of Denmark and His Royal Highness The Prince Consort and Their Majesties The King and Queen of Sweden.

Accreditation for Press and Photographers
Applications for media accreditation must be made by e-mail with the following information to kristina.pederstad@stortinget.no by Wednesday 7th May.

  • Name of media outlet
  • Phone number
  • E-mail address

Please send all requests/queries from Media regarding technical facilities for stills and video (live and recording) and SNG's to marit.moi@nrk.no and henriette.holmen@nrk.no by 30th April.

Media Centre
The accreditation is personal and all those accredited must meet in person. Please bring your press card and ID to the venue.
The media center is for accredited members of the press only. Accreditation must be applied for in advance. 
The media center is located in the park at Eidsvoll 1814.
The accreditation control system at the venue will be operative from 07.00 to 22.00.
All local accreditations can be picked up at the media center at Eidsvoll 1814 on the same day.
Coffee/tea and light refreshments will be served.

Wireless LAN will be available free of charge in the venue, in the media center and other zones.  If greater capacity is needed, dedicated internet connections can be ordered separately. Please contact henriette.holmen@nrk.no.

Media positions and program
There will be several media locations set up for live broadcasting and photo shoots.
The media will be divided into pools.
The guests will arrive from 18.30.
The show on stage will start at 19.30 and end at 21.00.

For Norwegians, Eidsvoll has great national symbolism, inextricably tied to the Constitution, independence and the dramatic events of 1814.
Eidsvoll is situated only 30 minutes by train from Oslo.
Rail access to Eidsvoll is straightforward. Trains will leave frequently from the central station (Oslo S) to Eidsvoll Verk station on 17th May.
