The President of the Storting sends her condolences
Earlier this week, the police confirmed that there was no longer any hope of finding further survivors after the landslide in Gjerdrum. President of the Storting Tone Wilhelmsen Trøen, on behalf of the Storting, would like to express her profound grief and sympathy to all those who have been affected by the disaster.
“This is a desperate situation, for the community of Gjerdrum and for Norway as a whole. We send our deepest condolences to those of you who have been given the painful news that you have lost one of those dearest to you, and we send our heartfelt sympathies to those of you who have been injured or who have had to witness the loss of your home or possessions,” said Ms Trøen.
