The Government coalition parties and the Progress Party reached a Budget settlement on the evening of Tuesday 1^st December.

This was too late to allow the Storting to consider the twelve different standing committees’ budgets within the original time frame. Consequently, the Presidium decided to extend the deadlines for the submission of the committees’ Budget recommendations, and to change the dates for the debates in the Chamber. The last debates and the final consideration of the Fiscal Budget will now be on Saturday 19^th December.
