The President of the Storting held words of remembrance at the commencement of the sitting of the Storting on Wednesday 30^th September.

“For many decades, Princess Astrid gave exceptional service to Norway and to the Royal Family. She remained active until the very last. Her role on behalf of the Royal Family and Norway was both more extensive and more enduring than she had probably imagined when she was a young woman,” the President of the Storting continued.

“Norway has lost a distinguished and highly-regarded princess, while the Royal Family has lost a family member. The Storting sends its deepest condolences to the Royal Family,” Mr Gharahkhani said.
