About the conference
Dear friends and colleagues.
It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 21st Annual Conference of Library and Research Services for Parliaments, to be held in Oslo and hosted by the Norwegian Parliament, the Storting, 10-12 August 2005.
The theme for this year's Preconference is:
"Knowledge and Information for Parliaments - a premise for Democracy".
The conference will give attention to how parliamentary libraries and research services can contribute with adequate and relevant knowledge and information to the parliamentary processes.
After the Preconference the Norwegian National Organizing Committee and the Norwegian library community take great pleasure in inviting you to the World Library and Information Congress: 71st IFLA general Conference and Council, 14-18 August - "Libraries - A voyage of Discovery".
